Equity release to fund visit to Egyptian Biotech Conference
The opportunity to go to one last Biotech conference arose but I didn’t have the money to fund it in my retirement. I took out equity release for the biotech conference and this gave me the spare funds to see out my wishes.
I made sure to go for SHIP equity release because of the safety implications and opted for a lifetime mortgage as it seemed the best one to drip feed me funds for as I went, rather than give me a lump sum. After a full and long career in Biotechnology, I was sad to retire this past year. It was an upsetting last hurrah for me and all of my colleagues but one that I will remember.
The Egyptian Biotechnology Conference wasn’t so expensive that a lump sum was required. Without equity release, I would not have been able to fund this final furore into the world of Biotechnology; and rest assured, with countless rounds of golf ahead of me and more free time than you can shake a stick at, the final furore was certainly needed. If equity release is right for your circumstance, then it is worth considering.
