Travel to Egypt

August is a busy season for Egypt.

All the representatives of the tourism industry can take advantage of this and do not raise prices on vacation.

But the price of tours this month is definitely higher, although many tourists are afraid to go to the country of pyramids because of various disturbances.

The Pyramid of Djoser is under threat of destruction in Egypt

The reason for the sad state of the oldest large-scale stone building in the world was the suspension of restoration work in the pyramid because of lack of funding, according to the “Voice of Russia”.

The head of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mohamed Abdel Maksoud, has announced after inspection of the pyramid that other archaeological projects which are not related to safety and security of the monuments will be also suspended.

World Tourism Day will be held in Egypt

On September 27, the international community celebrates World Tourism Day.

This year, the UNWTO official events will be held in Egyptian city of Aswan.

UNWTO Secretary-General Taleb Rifai says that tourism is a major component of the economy of Egypt, which annually attracts millions of tourists into the country from around the world.
